Welcome! We begin with the simplest act: seeing ourselves. The mirror has been a tool of self-reflection for millennia—from polished bronze in ancient civilizations to Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirror Rooms. Today, we explore the digital mirror.

HISTORY: The first video art piece using live feedback was Nam June Paik's "TV Buddha" (1974), where a Buddha statue contemplates its own image on a monitor. This workshop continues that tradition.

TECHNICAL: We use scale(-1,1) to flip the canvas horizontally, creating the mirror effect we expect. This simple transformation is the foundation of all our experiments.
